My mate has one with a SR20DET. he said that it's quite a lot taller and he said that he had to do a lot of mucking around to get the gear box in. Think he may have had to cut the body so it'd fit. But holyyyyy shite does it go!!

Yeah I've seen an SR20DET in a sierra. Tight fit, and completely insane. And not in a good way.

Swear it would be roughly the exact same
conversion as what breno done with the ca18det.... Cause they engine size is pretty much the same. IMO I reckon the sr20det would be death in a zook...Yupu wouldn't wanna be running much boost in it... My 2L 180 pulls fuxking hard and picturing it in a zook would be fun, but ypu will break a shot load of drivetrain stuff....
I'm gettin rid of my 180 soon, adam said he was talking to you about it.....

James - yes it would be very similar to the Ca18, however a little bit bigger I would imagine. Need to be careful with tunnel size if the gearbox is any larger than the CA models.

If you can do an auto, possibly a mix match gearbox like l18pwr has done, it would fit a lot easier as you wouldnt have to move the tcase back, lengthen driveshafts etc.

But its pretty much, clean all mounts of chassis and start again sort of conversion. Its much easier with the body off.

The internals between a rb20det, sr20det And ca18det gearbox are identical. You can swap them round, the only thing that changes is the bell housing.

I always thought the RB20DET had a stronger box than the SR? I could be wrong, but I am sure people upgraded from SR20 to RB20 box...

Rb25 box is what everyone upgrades to. The boxes out of rb30 skylines have the same internals of all the above. Probably even the vls.
