had a broken l/hand engine mount in my 95 sierra about a month ago so i replaced both sides with vl ones trying to put something stronger in but now i seem to notice a fair bit of vibration ar idle and at around 2600-3000 rpm is this a common thing, only reason im asking is that my motor is starting to enjoy a good drink of oil and i'm not sure if it's just some thing in the motor out of balance. Also does any one know anywhere in the brisbane/ipswich area that does exchange motors g13ba as i need my car pretty much all the time and can't afford the down time to get it rebuilt would prefer a straight swap over

I had no dramas with twin VL mounts on my G16B.

One thing to look at may be the alignment of the gearbox and transfer. The VL mounts are taller, thus lifting the front of the motor. This will ever so slightly change the angle of the rear of the gearbox. I've no idea if its enough to upset the uni's ( doubt it) but it may be worth looking into.

it might be because the vl engine mounts are made to carry an rb30 not a g13a and at that rev range is where the motor shakes the most so it's goin through the car....
