hey all my rear diff is making nosie it like a humming sound it start around 20k's hour and louder when i put my foot down and still there when back off

what is it and how do i fix it??

check/change the oil, look for excessive metal filings when you drop the oil.

wheel bearing on it's way out maybe??

I had this recently on my daily drive. Being a victim of the BA ford diff problems I assumed it was another blown diff. It ended up being the tyres. Any chance it could be that?

I had a similar thing with a flogged out pinion bearing. Though from memory the noise didn't really kick in until around 60kph.

well i change my oil and it still my the noise so ill check the wheel bearing later on when i get time but it drives fine but i still cannot hit 100km

not getting to 100k's would be a tune thing i'd say.

is the pinion seal leaking? how many k's on the diff?

hit 100 k's on the way to work and home
and the is no diff leak and the car has done 255,000km

Could still be a diff bearing noise, although changing the oil should have at least queitened it down a bit. My guess would be wheel bearings though.
