I lofted my rear bar up to standard height. Feeling very proud of myself, I went to slam the door shut and it bounced straight off the bar. Haha.
So how do I fix this issue?
Cheers
Matty

my carrier was modified to accommodate a 32" tall tyre, to do this flat bar was welded to the mounting face positioning it about 3" further up. please excuse the average looking welds... they were done with a stick welder that was about 300 years old!!! it is welded on the inside & outside also plug welded where the original bolt holes were.
once modded, clearance had to be made for the wiper arm.

my 235/75 r15 muddy fits perfectly, just rests nicely on the bumper as a little more support, so help the hinges

I tried that, let the tyre down to 4psi, no deal
I'll just get the bracket welded higher, I want to fit 32"s or 33"s for the bush later on anyway.
Thanks guys
Matty

I just lifted it up higher, redrilled, put plates on inside of door,
and cut a bit out for the wiper arm.
I can't weld to save my life
