hey guys got a Q for u saw a 1992 Sierra the other day with 1.6 vit engine
straight panals have not drove it yet the guy called me up today said he was selling it now im yet to test drive it and have a good look but i idealy want to road rego it or the lazy mans way i was think 2k would be the limit to pay for it what do you guys think

if it worked and had rego the price would start at 5k in darwin.

i dont think ide sell something like that for 2k i think stock ones with straight stuff with a 1.3 go for 5k on carsales realisticly with rego ull be lucky to get it for 4k

Even if you were to take the 1.6 and fit the 1.3 to get rego it's still cheap especially if it's EFI
As you know in WA they're not that common to find especially if the body is in good condition
Offer him $1500 cash and i think you've got a bargain

i looked forever to find a 1.6 finally got a good one a while ago but seems like ur getting a free sierra with the 1.6 lol

It's out of rego, but is it easily registerable?
Not sure if it applies over there, but in NSW if it's out of rego for more than 3 months, the inspection you need to go through is a real pain in the ass. Most cars fail it.
Any money saved in the initial purchase can quickly be spent if the "make good" work required doesn't go to plan.
