VP/VR commo heater hose cut down

AE80/82 corolla and 1.6 Laser radiator hoses. The hose i'm holding is cut so its a 90deg bend

Nice work Chinny! Did you make a note of the part numbers of your hoses? Will be handy down the track when you need to replace them :wink:

Off to exhaust shop today. Then to Auto leccy's for wiring next week. Need hose for air box to throttle body and custom accelerator cable and it should done :D:D

the top radiator hose is only temporarily fixed that way. I'm making a bracket that will hold it away from the manifold.

All lookin real good Chinny.

Is that clear hose you have on the inlet side of your high pressure fuel pump rated for use with fuel?

nice build up mate. been keenly watching it. will be fun up at strad
where bouts did you get the fuel pump mounting bracket? that looks like it would cut down a lot of noise from it.

hey mate bought a gti to do the conversion but liked it so much that ill keep it, now ive bought another gti engine today. and have the massive task of installing it.
are there any tricky bits that you didnt mention?

Yeah there's quite a bit i haven't mentioned. A bit of custom fabrication. Its not rocket science but. If you have any questions i'll help you out best i can.

thanks mate. its a month away from starting yet though. my friend is putting a turbo on his getting it all done professionally. and after he's done it all ill just do the same. yeh it'll be turbo'd with 31's @_@

that'll be alright. I've the SR20 TB and its going on soon as i get the car back. i'll see how it goes when its all tuned and cleaned up. Thought about putting a 1.6 block on the GTi head?

na i didnt think of that i probs wont bother. second thoughts i might not turbo alot of stuffing around sr20 tb. and extractors should be plenty my sierra only weighs under 900 kg. ute @_@ with 100kw pretty impressive

lookin good man. im just been doing my gti motor conversion the last week. pretty much done the same as you except i modded my gti dizzy to work with the angle drive kit.
just wondering where you got the extractors and how much they charged you if you dont mind me askin.

Bought em off a guy on ebay that makes them $240. maximum pipes or something in NSW. I wasn't too happy with the result, mainly because i had to file out some of the holes and cut some off the flange just to get it to fit. and the dump pipe interfered with the engine mount bracket. Learn from my mistake. Get them made from a local place.

Should have just made your own turbo manifold :mrgreen:
