Hey guys

I'm changing the v6 out and puting a g16b in

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to just simply take the input shaft from the g16b box and put it in the h20a box

The G16b box will be completely different to the h20a.

Why not put in a h27?

They look almost identical

The only difference I can c is the input shaft and the bolt pattern to bolt up to the motor

Almost positive the bolt pattern on the box end is the same

And a 2.7 will be too heavy and having no room in the engine bay will be a problem FOR WHAT I WANT
And will be a slug compared to my 1.6

When Steve did his (was an early import engine) there was mention of it being a 1.6 box in it and used a different clutch to our H20's

but if you have an input shaft and bellhousing dont you have the rest of the box to use?

Yeah I do but the bloke I bough the LWB with the h20 off said that he had the box rebuilt

Not that that means much but the box and clutch fork are very clean

So I thought I might just leave the box in there and use it

Only problem is the input shaft is about 2 inches longer on the v6

Does steve have a thread that I could read through
