hi guys. i want to flush my zooks cooling system over christmas & was wondering the best way to go about doing the job.

The easiest way I've found is to drop a heater hose off the firewall, put the heater on hot, then stick the garden hose in to the heater hose. Make sure the cap and drain bung are out the radiator too. Keep it in there till it runs clear.
Just remember when refilling with coolant that the block will be full of fresh water. Also be careful when pulling the heater hoses off, the tube they attach to crushes very easily as it's only copper

It would also be an idea to put some flush through it. I got some really nasty smelling stuff from a radiator place. Supercheap etc would have something too.

the plan was to drain system first then put flush through system & refill with pre-mix coolant. how do you empty excess water from system

Not easily, I usually just use concentrate coolant and then top up with mixed if needed
|
