i had a microtech on my old turbo 1.3 it did the job and i had no problems with it. i think it was a lt4 or some thing like that. tune was just one for a gti engine. easy to play with. i got it 2nd hand so have no idea about tech support.

how much boost you looking to run? you thought about getting the stock ecu looked at and bigger injectors? if your keeping it under 7 it will be pretty safe

Stock ECU with bigger injectors will overfuel at low load situations. Dont do a half arsed job, at least run an interceptor and set it up properly. But bigger injectors would be a pretty good idea.

thats why he would need to find out if some one has the tuning program for the stock ecu.

on a side note flash tuners don't let you play with the pulse rate of the injectors. they will let you do nearly every thing else. i just found out the costly way and now have to take my car to a tuner or fork out a stupid amount for the software. any one know a good tuner for xr6t on the central coast, newcastle or sydney?

I picked up my Haltech E6K S/Hand from Boost losers for $500
and paid approx $700-$800 for an awesome tune from P.I.T.S. on the gold coast.

Hey all.

Was wondering if you guys know where i can download a G16B base map for an adaptronic ECU... i haven't yet bought the ECU so i don't know which one it'll be yet. G16B is SOCH 16V, twin coils (waste spark), year unknown.
I'm no professional and i've never claimed to be.

Any help appreciated

i was quoted $4000 fitted and tuned. i was told by many you wont find a better ECU.

Matty: While motec has models with the widest range of options, most of them are completely useless on a road going car. Features like independent tweaking per injector is total overkill for all of us here.
For ~$2k, an Adaptronic (or most other ecu's) will achieve identical performance with an adequately skilled tuner.

Bloody hell im in the wrong business.

The reason im considering the Microtech is they are cheap and i dont need the best of the best as it is only going into my comp truck.

The local bloke sells Microtech as well and thinks it is ok.

I just dont know now. I didnt anticipate this kind of expense.

I've run tens in my microtech powered rx7. Have a few cool upgrades on it for the injector cycle and how it comes in, very simple to use. Wouldn't worry about using another ecu. And yes my rx7 was daily driven. Been in a work shop for a while getting cool beans added to it.
