Hay guys I am looking at webers and I have the chance to buy a 40 mm side draft weber off a mate is it a good weber and how hard is it to adapt to a standard 1.3 and is it s good weber has anyone done this could you give me some facts and opinions on the conversion

Nothing wrong with the carie, side drafts are great, I have never seen one on a Suzuki but anything is possible if you have either the ability to make an adapter or the money to pay someone to do it. Would it be worth doing ? maybe.

They will fit on the 1lt or a side draft SU

as long as there's and adapter plate in the equasion, you can fit any carby to it :)

Google says redline do weber sidedraught mani's. Can't imagine they would be cheap. I've never seen one for sale in 18months of keeping an eye out.

A sidedraft weber is a pretty specialist carb that needs a bit of work to behave even in high G circumstances so I reckon it would be annoying on a sierra

buy the time you pay for a manifold (adapting it jsut wont work) and the tuning to make it work (chokes and jets and tubes all add up) you would get extractors, exhaust, cam and new jets for your stock carby, that would all actually make some more power

And that IDF with its fuel bowl mounted in between the throats would be a wayyyy better alternative than the 32/36dgv for offroad use
