One of the tradies at work gave me a AEG 14.4v battery drill that he was going to chuck out. He was pretty sure it was just the battery that shat itself but he wasnt 100% sure.
does anyone between gold coast and south brisbane have one (and a battery) that i could test the drill before i buy a new battery off ebay?
cheers
alex

Chuck some lead on your car battery and test it.

It would pay to get the correct polarity to be safe. Yeah sure were only talking 12 volts but if shorted theres 500 odd amps going straight into your drill and that won't end pretty.

Dose it really matter if you get the polarity wrong? Won't it just spin the opposite way as what it's spose to if you get it the wrong way around?

Being a lithium powered drill I would not connect it not knowing polarity.
Not sure it they run low voltage cut off and what not.

Its not lithium. No markings on the drill or charger. i don't think bunnings sell aeg battery drills but I'll check. battery world might be the way to go.

The other way would be to crack open the battery housing.
