Hey all,
I have a 97 estate and was going to buy a towbar and winch bar off a 91 jx vit. Is the chassis on the estate wider then the jx? If so i wont waste my time.

If the 97 is a V6 Vitara, then yes, the chassis is wider - on the other hand - if it's a 4 cylinder, then they should be the same width.

to my knowledge the lwb 4cyl are the same width as the v6 ones its just the swb ones that are skinnier. i think that changed when they came out with the j20a the sq.

All SE416, long or short wheelbase are the same width. All SV, SQ vitaras and grand vitaras of 4 or 6 cyl build are wider.
