Hey guys

I was thinking of getting a spoa kit for my sj50 what size rancho shockers would I need to fit?? And if I got a hoop kit would I need longer shockers again??

Shock lengths are something to work out once everything is built and tested.. There is probably a butt load more to a SPOA then you think, unless you have done your research..

What kit you looking it?

There is a kit on low range off road web site that comes with the leaf pads, tail shaft spaces and longer brake lines. I was thinking maybe the rancho 9000??

With that kit you will still need to fix steering. Hi steer kits are probably double what your paying for that SPOA kit... Then on top of that, shock hoops, shocks and possibly a track bar..

And if your still NT things could get very very tippy, very quickly.

There is probably easier, cheaper and more effective ways of gaining lift.

Cheers for that. Yeah I thought I would need the hi steer and hoop kit for this spoa conversion but I think it would do the job pretty well And yeah she is a NT but if your buying a Sierra you are buying roll over risk and thats all part of the fun owning one lol

Why are you set on rancho's. Overpriced pieces of garbage. As for size, you have to measure what size you will require depending on how you mount the hoops. SPOA is not a bad option, but there are a thousand more important things to look at before shock length. Yes if you fit shocks then fit hoops later you will require new shocks or it will alter your travel and perhaps cause severe "topping out" of your shocks.

im just in the prosess of finishing my spoa i got the same kit from lowrange but i put w/t diffs under my n/t and im in the same situation just gina flex mine up with no shosks and mesure and find ones that will do the job the kit it self is easy to fit but you will need a high steer arm aswell ill keep you posted on how i go
