Right here is where you get them ... $65 each + $10 postage from DesignFab. They bolt around the outside of the transfer case to take the higher torsion forces induced by the lower gearing.

You'll need to weld it to the existing mounts when you install it. I'm a mechanical nitwit and managed to get it finished within an hour or two, complete with shabby welding. There are some more pics and info in the below two threads. If you need more info search 'Roctoy'.

jonno_racing's photos in the first thread are probably the most descriptive about both how the Roctoy Ring fits and also one way of strengthening / welding it to the mounts.

think its really needed with a mighty kong cradle and only 30"tyres with 4.9 gearsing ?

I suspect that you'll be fine. The Mighty Kong does pick up more mounting points than the stock mounts, though not as many as the Roctoy ring. If you're not locked front and rear then I would think the case would be fine with 30's and 4.9's. If you are locked front and rear then driving style would have to come into it.

Someone more knowledgeable than me might say differently though

It's the 6.5s that make the tease explode. I doubt 4.9s would have enough force to break a case....

in my old one i had 32's and reduction gears and used to bend mounts like they were goin out of fashion!

IMO a mighty kong cradle will be fine. There is a Red Sierra the sometimes competes in Tough Tracks with 6.5s, 31 simex, and a lead foot and has broken heaps of CVs and even torn uni joints but has no transfer bracing at all - just some extra angle welded to the case mounts (to stop them bending) and a captive mount system to replace the rubber mounts similar to the Just Cruzin kit!

IMO, if anything get a JC transfer lift kit as the mounts are solid. You will break the rubber mounts easy - both from the gearing and the mighty kong skid plate!

Reubs, Just_Cruizin mounts are not solid. They are actually made from a rather soft Polyurethane. They do move but in a way that they can't or should not tear. I've been running them in Casper for 2 years of TT and they still look new.

Rocktoy ring isnt designed to make the case stiffer, its designed to be a starting point for a decent mounting system that doesnt concentrate all the external load onto 2 small mounting flanges, if its just bolted on you may as well chrome it too

A roktoy ring is cheap insurance... Do it once and do it properly... It's a lot of mucking around, but i have no regrets combining the two together. The last thing you want when your out in the middle of the bush is a BIG failure... But each to their own
