Time to invest in a notcher. Seems to be alot of info on everything but notchers.

Would like to know what people are using and where did they get it from.
Looking to get something online because its usually cheaper than that of local equivalent up here in Darwin. Price is not an issue as it will be for future projects and have time to save.

Any push in the right direction would be great

There is a program you can get that tells you what angles to cut using a drop saw that means you don't need a notcher

i have used the speedworx one and OPW's JD2.
both give great results but the jd is a much tighter feel, just feels more solid, rigid.

If im at work, I cut them with a bandsaw 2 45'ish angle cuts and grind the inside a touch.

If im at home, I cut the angles with a grinder..

i used to do the same with the grinder. Took far too long with just the rear bar. I plan to build a buggy completely from tube, so i need a notcher.

Dropped jd squared an email regarding the 'notchmaster' one, hopefully they are reasonable on freight

obviously the JD2 stuff is great, but has anyone played with the cheeper ones?

obviously its not going to be as good as the JD2, but for less than half the prices will it be good enough?

Prices are good compared to local, but the only shipping quote I've got from them evened things out. Worth a look though.
