No. I have the same reflectors. And had a different hid kit. But the light went everywhere not one car I passed didn't flash me.

i was going to get a set but i got lazy and didnt bother but they are definenty the way to go

Your car won't comply with ADRs requiring HIDs to be self-levelling and self-cleaning - only reason those features ever made it into the Corolla Levin.

Just on that, i have not once been flashed cus of my HID's in the jim....but the old man was getting flashed by every second car in his lux with standard globe's cus his head lights were out of adjustment....they some how pointed upwards over time from vibrations etc....so when i put my HID's in i un-did all the bolt's/screws and aimed the head lights down as far as i could....

Yeah aimed down stopped people flashing but was shit for actual use of headlights.

HID's are illegal in zooks as they did not come with them. The rozzers had a sting a few months back and booked everyone who had HID's.
If you do fit them, make sure you adjust your headlights. Every single H4 kit I have installed has needed the reflectors adjusted downward due to the slightly different position of the light emitting part of globe.

nothin worse than the car behind you having cheapo illegal HID's blinding the bejesus outta you..

Do the wiring upgrade, get some NEW sealed lens' and be done with it.. Leave the HID. $$ better spent elseware..

lol you just dont get flashed cos theyre so blinded by your lights they cant find their flashy whatsit... your lights are wayyyyy too bright. Driving infront of you at night is very uncomfortable, even with the rear view mirror dipped the side mirrors still catch a hell of a glare =)

and if a globe blows it usually fucks the ballast too so can get expensive.. i have a set here but decided against it coz they are a waste of time and not worth getting caught..

! I have sat in front of my car on the road...i was in my sister's swift (very low) and the my jim was behind us....and they weren't that bad...i dunno maybe it's just me :roll:

why would ya want to hid ya headlights and not ya driving lights?

that is just rice and will piss people off.

i have trouble understanding why people dont seem to mind having someone
driving towards them
that cant see where they are going. seems a bit silly to me.

100W HID driving lights are like a pair of Suns on the bullbar. Definitely on my wish list. Better more useful option.

I'm looking at retrofitting some Morimoto Mini H1 Bi xenon projectors to the 7" round semi sealed beams. Let me know if you want to see some results later down the track.
