The sad day has come and I need to sell the turtle express.
Its an 85 LWB sierra. I have had it for the last 3 1/2 years.
Duel fuel, 105L gas tank which is 83.5L of useable gas. Gets over 500k off one tank. Getting serviced this week. The car gets regular 10,000k services and looked after with all the good oils
Comes with 2 km1 215/75/15 muddies on the back (about half worn, loads of tread left) and 2 km2 muddies on the front (bit less then half worn, shitload of tread left) I have just made a pvc snorkle, it needs to be plumbed in.
I will be selling it with no rego and no rwc.
Now, I have a SHITLOAD of spares to suit the car.2nd hand bonnet. second hand b pill, 2 spare tail gates, front diff hub to hub, rear diff drum to drum, second motor. second gearbox, diff hat (care of bruce) for the front diff, 110amp alt upgrade (compleate ready to install, got the pullys and hte alternator) LWB vitara brake upgrade for the front, rear disc conversion, duraflares, and more and more.
If you want the car and ALL the spares it will be $4000.
I need to sell the car BEFORE i sell the parts. Seeing I'm buying the new GV on Wednesday, I need the car gone pretty soon
Ring me on 0424-665-882 for inspection
BTW, I can freight the car ANYWHERE in Australia. So no bloody excuse "If only it was in Queensland"
Dave

The gas tank is in the back. It was installed only 5 months ago by slyvan1 from here I will get a better write up tonight with alot more detail and more pics.
In terms of costs that I've spent on the car, the canopy was $500, the gas conversion was another $500, the extractors and new exhust was $300, the tires were $1000 new (now prob as second hand i'd be asking $400) so already its $1700 worth of gear before you add the car

Engine Bay
Motor 1.3 with extractors and 1 3/4 straight thru exhust (straight thru muffler, I have a resonator but it was a tad loud for my liking but you can have it if ya want)
The motor has done 100,000k in the last 3 and half years. I had it put on duel fuel 5 months ago, its got the gas tank behind the drivers seat. There is a thermo fan and temp controler. The battery has been upgraded to a N70 bus battery, massive frucker . To fit this the airbox has been moved forward 35mm and the airbox to carby hat hose has been replaced with a tie rod boot off a ford escort. The motor is getting its 10,000k service this week. New air filter, oil filter and oil.
Gearbox needs the rear seal replaced, I have it here, not gotten around to fitting it. Apart from that, not had any problems with the gearbox. Clutch is alright, works good and the front seal was replaced when the clutch went in at the start of the year.
Drive shafts. Rear drive shaft has just had new unis put in, it needs to ideally be put back it phase, there is an excellent thread on hear about that, it just not high on my priorities
Suspension
Front and rear Rancho 9000's. Front spring were reset about 3 months ago and the ranchos fitted. They are 2" lifted shocks. The rear has coil load helpers installed and 3-4" lifted ranchos fitted. The rear suspension needs some tweeking, just need to relocate the shock toward the middle, a framing it up a bit, another thing on my list of shit to get around to
Tires are BFG muddies, 215/75/15's. The rears are KM1's and are half worn and have 100,000k's on them. The fronts are KM2's and are just under half worn and have 70,000k's on them. On stock rims.
BraKes are stock, if you buy all the extra stuff along with my zook, you will get the Vitara LWB front brake upgrade, Snake racing rear disc conversion kit, and Subaru Forester master cylinder upgrade with custom bent lines to get better braking if fit larger tires. You will also get the spare front and rear diffs so you can fit this conversion without taking your zook off the road and then just swap over the diffs in a day (it was what I was going to do!!)
Body.
ATM, it has the fiberglass canopy. The back half is lined with carpet, very swish The front section is not sealed 100% against the windscreen, but I have just bought over center latches to fix this (once again, on my list of shit to get around to doing!!)
There is no door cards on the zook, I have marine ply ones made, and bolts bought, AND nutserts ready to fix, (this is getting familiar... once again, waiting to get around to fitting...............)
The doors and windscreen are green. I have a matching green bonnet and front clip (going to be installed....) thats for sale with the rest of the extra shit I have
There is the usual dints and scratches that go with a zook thats 26 years old. The previous owner to me jacked the car up of the sills (matching on both side, you'd recon he'd of worked that didn't work after the first one!)
There is one n/t flair remaining on the car. It on the drivers front, I have some lime green original n/t ones OR for $300 you have have the Double Black OffRoad/Duraflares ( http://auszookers.com/index.php?name=Fo ... ic&t=26453 ) that I just bought
More to come tomorrow when I get to work
Dave

Well not really. My old man bought a car from Perth and had it freighted over to melbourne and it was only about $900. Pretty cheap compaired to flying over and driving back
If you are really interested, I can inquire about shipping costs.

If your serious freight can be done cheap mate, there is plenty of places that do it. And its a driving car which they like also. If its wasn't driving they charge ya more for loading etc.

I really need this gone, within a week preferably. I have dropped the price to $1900, you get the running car, with a spare motor and the soft top (not the fiberglass canopy that I have under the house (i think its a mu canvas one, but will need to pull it out to check. You also get 4 just legal road tires, not the muddies. If you want the canopy and muddies, $2500, or the $4000 for the entire lot still stands.

I was after $500 for the canopy on the zook atm. The inside of the rear section is lined and is smick as. The front has a new pinch weld where it joins ontop of the rear section and I have new stainless over center latches to attach the front section to the windscreen. (it currently got a bit of hoop iron )
I have a spare window/sliding window for the back, it for the passenger side.
And I also have a complete second unlined canopy that has some minor damage to the front bit over the b pillar, no windows or rear door, just a shell. I was going to use the second canopy to put side opening windows on, you can have it for $50.
I'm still waiting to pick up my new GV, and when I do, the offloading off gear will commence. I hope its this week.
