Many nsw people dream. Not many sierra's are worth $12500..

The body is worth 500
12500 would be worth it if it had alot of known parts and was totally custom. Like a Comp car..

I have dropped the price of mine to $1900. Its been a great daily for me for the last 3 1/2 years. On duel fuel. For $1900 you don't get the fiberglass canopy or the muddies, but its a running zook, with a second motor for $1900 :D
Pics.

The body could have a million kms on it and be fine...

Or it could have 100,000 and have lived on the beach and be fucked...

But the gearbox, transfer case and diffs may be showing their age if they haven't been rebuilt/swapped.

But given you get 3 cars for $4500, it sounds like a reasonable deal.

Although, for me, a GTi motor is not the right motor for a Sierra...

No, its just that if you are going to go to all the trouble of putting an MPFI motor in, why not go the G16B which has a far better, more usable torque curve for off-roading...

There are a few factors in play here, firstly just because someone wants a unreasonably high price for their car does not mean they will get it. Most of those highly priced Sierra's do not sell.

However, regardless of what it is actually worth sometimes people who have little kowledge still pay those stupid prices.

Seriously I woud not pay more than $5000 for a stock mint condition Sierra. Be very very carefull when you buy one that has been modified, often the person selling it has had enough of all the problems he has caused and is ready to offload it and start again.

Normal bolt on mods are usually ok (i.e. wheels, tryres, bullbars, snorkles, springs and shockies etc) it is when people start thinking they know more than the Suzuki motor company and mess with brakes, engines, wiring, make up their own seat mounts, attempt all kind of mods they have read about etc. that's when you can find some very dangerous and dodgy vehicles out there.

It is true that some people do have the knowledge and ability to improve their Suzuki's but just as many others should never be allowed near a spanner.

I think if Cj! sold his sierra for 9-10K he would sell it in about 10 minutes and it is not even finished.

I would happily pay $8k for it, why, because its awsome.

Ok so what you just said is if your mate Cj wanted to sell his for $9000-$10000 it would sell in 10 minutes, but you would only pay $8000.

Yeah that really helps to answer old mates question
