OK, my zook has aids and it must die... I got the wire wheel out to investigate what these random panel cracks are and it's bog splitting from the metalwork, but it's not the bog work i've done prior to painting my car. So no more polishing this turd... time to press flush.
I'll part out all the good stuff i've installed and into another WT Sierra, but i'm not sure whether I should stick with a hardtop or get a soft top What are the pros and cons of each? I kinda like the hardtop as you have a lockable dry space, but a soft-top can wear a few kinds of hard canopies and is just the ticket for cruising around in warm weather. LWB is another option, but finding a top notch one for under $5K is another question.
Anyway, what do you guys prefer - hard top or soft top?

Foolsp33d, might be a goer. I'll be in Victoria in a week or two, if it doesn't get taken off your hands in the meantime i'll swing by for a look. Does it have any rust issues or panel damage?

sounds like a good deal!
you can put your WT diffs under it, put your WT flares on it too.. hold onto things like doors, windsreen etc in case of damage down the track and you'll be laughing.

Found a few more pics of the turtle - i'm after something a little more cherry. Any new Sierra into the garage must be rust free, straight panels, close to stock. Not wanting a project or doer-upper-er this time around, although don't mind if it's mechanically shagged as my LPG setup will be coming with me.
So hardtops for the win? I'll keep an eye out on carsales.com for a replacement

Nice one Stekky - i'll keep an eye out. I'm in no hurry, but if a beauty comes along i'll jump onto it.
There was a cracker on carsales a few weeks ago for $3000, but I snoozed and I loozed... still a few nice ones near $5K, but bargain's are betterer
