Hi
I just rang ARB and they tell me lockers are not made for my Jimny.
Is this true?
My Jimny is a 2010 1.3 vvt and im sure ive seen them in them before.
If they are available what part no should i be quoting to them?
Unrelated topic they quoted me $1100 for a 40mm OME lift does that seem reasonable?

Did you ask for a breakdown on the quote?? IE how much of that is labor related.
In some cases it's easier to buy the lockers yourself and drop the 3rda in to get fitted and tapped. If your even the slightest bit mechanically minded, you should be able to fit and wire the compressor in yourself and run the lines.
Might be able to save some cash if you want to give it a go.

Ok they quoted $1580 each front and rear fitted and $500 for the compressor than he said $3500 for the lot. This was a verbal quote.
Yes I could easily handle the compressor and plumbing but not sure about the lockers. If they came with detailed instructions I could prolly do them aswell but unsure how that affects the warranty.

What i'm saying is you could get the guys to fit the actual locker itself and tap the barb into the 3rd. Then all you would have to do is put the center back into the housing, wire in compressor and switches and run the air line.
Might save you some coin.
If I remember rightly, in Sydney the shop I was working for was only paying about $950 or so I believe. Obviously it was a trade price, but gives you an idea. $1200ish retail each??

i'm guessing the $500 air compressor is probably the new fancy twin cylinder one, there is a $300 option.

Just got a quote to install air locker.
$150 with me removing the diff.
I'll do all the wiring and ancillary work.
Install with complete diff rebuild $550

I'm picking up my compressor and tyre inflation kit up tomoz for $335
Each locker fitted by ARB is around $1500
I'm taking out my centres and taking them to my TJM store and they're gonna charge me about $1150 a locker and $200 to fit them.
What you got quoted is rubbish! I'd up them about it!
