Hi Guys,

Need a few more parts again. I know by now I should have just bought another car to use as donor......

Have a 1994/1995 model EFI SWB vitara, and need to know how much I should be expecting to pay and where from. I am in Sydney.

* Passenger Seat (complete) in great condition
or
* Passenger Seat mount to fit Autotechnica seat. Someone on another forum was developing the seat mount/rails but I don't think he ever ended up making them in the end. Anyone else?

* New Battery (not sure what I should be buying) Current one is rated 340 Cold cranking amps (CCA) and no figure seen for Reserve capacity (RC).

* High flow catalytic converter supplied and fitted to new 2" or 2.25" pipe.
(I would even buy this off a forum member if they had it in a 3 bolt setup, so it would bolt straight up.

Hi, i wont attempt to answer your questions i dont know about, leave that for others who do know...

As for Battery, 340CCA is ok, but i would go for something about 450CCA or better, but, it may or may not fit the battery tray, you may have to measure it first, then find a battery that will fit it, with the best CCA you can find... i bought a new 550CCA Supercharge Battery, its all sealed, so maintenance free, and it appears to have a very good reserve to it...

Definitely get a Hiflo Cat, and hiflo muffler as well if you can, but that will depend on how noisy you want it to be... with your Vit being EFI, 2.25in pipe would be great... i would get it all new, if you can afford it, and get a few quotes from exhaust places, as prices can vary a fair bit, not being in NSW, i cant recommend any places, but i am sure someone here can...

Autobarn has "SuperCharge Gold MF40B20DF" for $119
This is rated 380CCA and 60RC. It would bit without any modification to the engine bay.

The price appeared too steep until I went to SuperCheap, where the Century brand of almost exactly the same rating was selling for $140

I can get the seat mounts from overseas. $450 shipped to my door. It is for a pair, no seats included.

The 2.25" high flow cat with pipe & 3 bolt flange system apparently ready to bolt on can be ordered via an ebay exhaust shop in QLD, for a bit less than $200 shipped to my door. Only issue is that I don't know how good the quality of the cat is. Liverpool exhaust/Hurricane headers in Liverpool are someone I know I can trust, but it is hard to get an appointment there.

Depends on how many extra accessories you have in your Vit, but, If the battery fits, and you are happy with the price, then get it,
I got mine from Autobahn as well, and for $120, best price i found...

Hmmm, that hiflo cat does sound to cheap to be good, but you never know, i paid $250, just for my ceramic hiflo cat... always best to go to someone you can trust and know does a good job, even if they arnt the cheapest...

Just as I was about to place the order, I have been informed that it was not bolt on, it was just the individual parts.

Any percieved savings you get in buying a cat yourself will be well and truly lost once you get it fitted, either with or without an exhaust system

You need to pass the attitude test with exhaust shops, go in say I want this, I want it done ASAP, tell me what youll do and what it will cost, dont like what they say go elswhere, dont even bother bargaining
