Ok I have had a few issues with my zook lately and hopefully this is the last one to fix. I had some issues with my gear stick that I put a new bush and bolt in to fix worked awesome. Except a few days later now it won't shift into the 5th and reverse at all like the shifter gets stuck as soon as I pull it to the right and won't push further any sufestions I'm hopping it to be easy fix as im in Airlie beach and leaving Monday towing a trailer down to Brisbane.

Pull the gearstick out and have a look in the top. Make sure all the 3 gates are lined up properly. You can try shifting them with a screwdriver to make sure they shift ok. Check the bush and bolt are ok too

Had same issue earlier this year. As Scrawn has said check gates and clean if needed. Once I cleaned ours all worked and still is going OK.

Try what Scrawn says that is usually the problem. I have also had one here that would not go into gear reverse/5th, unlike the 1,2 and 3,4 shafts which have a cut out for the gear lever to engage the reverse/5th shaft has a block on it with a cut out angled at 45 degrees in the block instead of the shaft, the block has a pin in it to hold it in place and the pin was sheared off and so the block moved on the shaf instead of the shaft moving.

mate just went through this problem. if what the others said doesnt work, take the top cover off the where the shifter goes through (4 bolts I think ten mil. pull it apart, clean it up. One of the slides will be worn a bit and it gets hung up on the ball bearing. To get me going I just greased it a little and put it back together. Worked for a while but I got another top cover - thanks to Aaron

Ok this is all great info I will give it another go tomorrow when I get time but I have had the stuck out a few times replaced the bolt and bush last week it's all a little warn on the stick though. How do I tell from looking in the top if the gates are aligned and what do I need to grease to help it?

thanks a lot guy got it all sorted opened up the shifter and managed to loosen it all up and get the spring workin again that was holding the ball bearing down. this was the reason it would not shift to the right. shouldnt give me any more troubles now just cleaned it up and lubed it good. thanks again!
