Not my case but my mates.

I posted on here a while ago about possible different shifting patterns With my mates new serria he just purchased. A few ideas were thrown around and non worked. So I pulled his case out an low and behold, once on the ground it shifted and preformed like a normal Sierra case. Installed it back in the car. And now it's shifting like a back wards h! An not selecting 4wd or low. Nothing works. Could this be because some smarty pants has taken a ball bearing out to make it a twin stick case? But put the stock stick back in once he sol it.

The guy who sold it to my mate never used it for four wheeling so has no idea about it.

What else could explain this? Shifts normal out of the car, selects gears correctly, flanges respond to the gear selection. Put it back in the car and the shift pattern changes to something completely different and doesnt select low or 4wd

My last case had the standard stick with the ball taken out so that won't be your problem. Is the stick hiring the floor at all?

Nope not touching floor or flange.

With GB and T-case in neutral, can you rotate the jack shaft and front shaft by hand?

Which gears neutral? the gears all over the place an not engaging.

This might not be the prob but coily cases have a different movement. If you are un sure on what case you have. Eg. Leafy case or coily case take a pic and put it up. Only other thing I can think of is it may be hitting the tunnel. But you stated its not.

But it shifts properly when it's out. Put it back in and it's stuffed. Pull it back out, works properly.
