just wondering how much chopping is required to fit these flares or are the direct bolt on?

depends on the type you get.. one type is a bolt on fit to a zook.. the other type (i believe the more common type) needs some trimming.
I just did mine last week.. i had to remove the old flares, figuire out which one goes on what corner of the vehicle, pre-drill the holes.. bolt them on (using all of the materials they supply), then trim to suit. Easy as mate!!

They definatly keep the mud in!!

yours seem to match up nice with the inside of the guards have you modded the inside of your guards to suit these or they fit that well. where did you source yours from?

i have done some minor work to the corners in the past to stop the tires from scrubbing on my old flares.. but what your seeing is pretty much stocko. I got mine off this site!! Dont know of any others sorry..

I don't recommend that anybody buys anything from Overkill Engineering. I've been waiting for about 4 months for my front and rear axles. Even after constant emails and phone calls they still havn't come through with the goods.

Yeah, i paid for the parts upfront in good faith expecting that i'd have the parts delivered to me in 2 weeks. Well, that's what they promised anyways... i'm still in negotiations with them. The thing that sucks is that i paid for the parts before the Oz dollar went down the drain. If i have to re-order the parts from someone else its gonna cost me heaps more... The whole situation has left a bad taste in my mouth. I just don't want anyone else to have to go through what i'm going through... It's very frustrating...

I think part of the problem is that they are in Sydney and i'm down in Geelong (near Melbourne). I can only deal with them over the phone or through emails, which makes it hard when all i get is message bank most of the time. Your bar will look awesome i'm sure, they crank out some crazy stuff out of that workshop judging by the pictures on their website. It's a shame that they've been so unreliable towards me, as i probably would've ordered heaps more stuff with them in the future. They tell me that my parts are with a courier on their way, but they've been lost 3 times so far in the past, so i'm not to confident in getting them. I'll be asking for my money back if i don't get them this time. I think i've been reasonably patient about the whole thing, but i need to get my zook back on the road. It's been sitting in the workshop for about 5 months now just gathering dust... Sorry to sabotage your post, but just order your flares from some1 else. I've got the bushwackers on my zook and i love them!!! you won't regret it...

I have had a few packages go missing wid couriers. It's really annoying. Yea I hope so. I'm gonna be running 15x8 wheels with a -50 offset with 31s ATM then eventually 33s. Will these be wide enough? Is everyone running 6' flares? So 800 for flares is worth it?

im running 35X11.5X15 on 15X8 rims and they fit spot on.. thats on lux diffs too. They sit pretty much level. $800 is madness yes.. but they are worth it.. they suit zooks, VERY easy to work with, and tough as guts

have a look at piranha flares they are made to fit zooks and they are maybe slightly cheaper than bushwackers

quick question relating to flares: Are coily flares attached to the body the same as the widetrack flares?

yeah and there is pics of people driving over their bushwakers but twisting is different from front or side on impact. would it flex around the terrain or simply push the panel in around where it is mounted

they are softer than the panels so they should just flex i'm not sure about the bushwackers though

they sell them they do two different versions one isn't as flexible
they make a lot of zook stuff that isn't on there site

Those flares look pretty good might look into them don't really wanna spend 800 on flares. How wide are the piranha ones?

Have a look at the low range offroad site. They sell bushwacker flares for $320 US for what I think is a set of 4. If this is the case, even with the crappy aus dollar you would still be better off importing them in.
