Does anyone know of a 2speed gear box/tcase that has a 1:1ratio and 1:1.5-1:2ratio? and maybe a neutral?
Thanks

It does have input and output on one side but I'm sure it could be modified to be suitable.
Just an idea anyway.

thanks jas, i don't think i want to spend $1800 to modify it.....
a vit with a chopped off output might be my best option so far...
Vitara, High: 1.00, Low: 1.907
edit: it's the under drive idea used in the rc world that im trying to achieve. We put a higher pinion in the front and lower pinion in the rear to get the front to pull up steep inclines and to kinda suck it's self onto the rock face.
much like how Pete (opw) use to have an air operated rear disconnect that he would just tap the button on steep inclines to keep the rear from driving under itself. But this way it will be a constant drive, not intermittent drive.

I've got a vit transfer at my place you can have if you want to hack it up as part of your experiment.

get a planetary set out of an auto and machine and weld and hammer some stuff up, will give direct drive and a choice of 2 ratios with one gearset

I believe , but can't proove,
that early 4wd's had a very slightly higher front diff ratio,
for that reason, and for safer descents.
Was told this as a kid, so could be BS,
but does make sense for a p/t 4wd.
