You're not out in the big scary world now, you're on a forum. You learn on a forum by doing a search. Unfortunately, you've probably ruined the chances of getting good help now once you have searched because you came in packing an attitude.
Oh well, your loss.
Steve.

i dunno, the hollier than thou attitude of "i know more than you, you dumb cunt catch up to my standards fuck head younger new guy" is starting to shit me, knowledge is only knowledge if you share it, so either help em out, give them a link, politely advise of the search function, or just dont bloody post.
how is any new person ever going to get into this when they just get shut down by the big men on the forum.?
rant over.

search first and get some more specifics on what u actually want
your turbo queries have been answered, perhaps some more details like your budget and exactly what you hope to acheive will help, have a flick through page after page of build threads to pinch ideas.
realise that a shop is guna charge u 10 grand to put a turbo on an n/a engine and a 1.6 efi conversion will be 3-4 grand as a minimum

with that budget its you only option.
whacking a turbo on an engine usually causes more problems and headaches than it fixes.
have a look at those couple of build threads at the top and you will get an idea what you will want, and the hassles involved.
for every mod, there will be 3 others you will have to do to accomadate it.
another bit of advice i like is... keep it simple stupid.
sometimes less is more. so work out a rock solid plan and a budget and go from there.

Jimny gearing optoins,
http://www.auszookers.com/index.php?nam ... 83&start=0
Here's another gearing thread,
http://www.auszookers.com/index.php?nam ... ny+gearing
They should help you figure out what ratios you need. As for the conversion kit - it's pretty straight forward, parts needed are:
- x1 wide track sierra jack shaft
- x2 wide track sierra front drive shafts
- x1 wide track sierra transfer case
- The right gear set to suit your tyre size (maybe 4.16.1?, cheapest place to buy is lowrangeoffroad.com)
- And the off road armoury conversion kit.
Final cost? At least $800 depending how much you pay for drive shafts etc...
Hope this helps!
