i would probably advise checking the tow rating when buying cars, even a hilux is only 2500kg :-D

erm, take off in low range 1st then shift to high range first when taking off?

I assume this too isn't serious because all this would do is make one or more load banging grinding noises... Expensive!

Gday every one I am new to the site but want your opinion on how i can get some more power out of my 2011 Jimny.
it seems a bit gutless on the hills when towing.
just wondering if a hi-clone would help or if i needed a chip and exhaust.
at the moment it is stock standard,
any help would be appreciated
thanks Parth

Dangerous... full stop.

While you might think you're 'capable' of towing it and that it shouldnt have any problems,

When problems arise.. you will be a problem for every other driver on the road by putting everyone around you in danger along with your passengers.

Be responsible and at least do the right thing by lookin into a proper tow vehicle.

Those things are meant to be towed behind mobile homes... not the other way around...
