hey guys just a few questions

got a bit of a steering issue as my zook likes to pull to the left a bit

had a wheel alignment but it pretty much did nothing

guy mentioned my chocks and dampner are shot but a second opinion said no, so who is right? could that be the issue

also my steering wheel is tight turning to the left but has about 2-3 inches of play when turning to the right before its tight?

Are all the tyres the same size and similar wear/pressure?

The shocks and steering damper won't affect the pulling. It sounds more like the steering box has issues.

yeah one tyre was bit worn on the outside the others are brand new.

the one worn was done prior to purchase
and since i have rotated them but still pulls

whats the go with the steering box?

Steering box may just need adjustment or it could be worn out. Any issues should have been picked up when they did the wheel alignment, I'd be going back and asking them to re-do it! They can't give it back still pulling and not give any reason for it.

yeah i did and his excuse was my shocks and dampners are gone.

so i went to a suspension place who said that they are fine.

i know the zooks alignment is basic yeah like basically toe in or toe out not to difficult to get right

car does not pull hugely to elft but enough so as i have to haev steering wheel slightly to the right about 2 inches turned but htere is the play in the steering wheel as well would be nice to just hold it straight and drive

Find someone else to have a look at it for you.

after a wheel alignment you also need to put your rear tyres on the front
as the uneven ware on the front tyres will affect the way it drives.

Have you just lifted it? If yes you need to pull the steering wheel off and reposition it on the spline. When does it pull, all the time, while braking, under acceleration?

Was going to say the same thing. If you just lifted it that would put the steering wheel off by about that much. Is it actually pulling or just the steering wheel is misaligned? If the steering is tight left and loose right I'd say there's at least some kind of steering box adjustment or wear issue in the box.

if you are on a road that cambers to the right I right lane on a highway, does it pull right?

did the neanderthals that did the alignment bother to check castor or camber? just cause it cant be adjusted doesnt mean it isnt out of wack, the worn tyre could mean a bent housing, positive camber on the left will make it pull left.

You could also check your king pin bearings....and make sure you dont have a broken cv fouling up your steering from the in side...

i would get the person who did the wheel alignment to go for a drive
and ask them if they would be happy with it.

Was driving to the servo after a play the other day with 3 tyres at 10 psi and the back passenger one at 8psi (misses got a bit keen airing down her designated corner). It pulled noticeable to the left. Could it be possible even though you've rotated the tyres that the worn one is still affecting the steering? Got any mates that could lend you one thats worn evenly?
