Hey guys,
Just thought i would sign up and ask a question, im a long time forum stalker haha

I am wondering if anyone had any info on the front and rear diffs on the V6 Vitara 1995. Info on the 1.6 is available but not the v6 as the V6 is wider and is also has a wider chassis.

As there is not many of these around, no one I have spoken to knows if the diff centres are the same as the 1.6. I am hoping to be able to find a lockrite to fit.

Any help would be appreciated.

I did a quick check in the parts catalogs - the SV620 (the V6 vitara) uses the same differential cases (the pieces that hold the pinions and the ring gears bolt on to) as some of the SE416 (the 1.6 Vitara) - the same goes for the rear side gears.

The front side gears were a different part number - that could simply be an issue of which SE416 I was looking at (I think the early ones were 22 spline and the later 26) or just a different supplier - so it doesn't mean it will work or it won't work.

Based on that I would say there's a good chance the 1.6 lockers should fit the V6 - but - there's really only one way to be sure.

I believe they use the same lockers as the 1.6 and J20a LWB vits.

1510 sierra lockrights will fit in both diffs.
