but their rear is coiled standard factory, im talking about a coil rear end A frame on a sierra, that was a leaf sprung. someone was telling me u cant legalize A frames at all.. so i just want to find out

there are mod codes for suspension modification design, and suspension modification construction so yes you can, you just need to do it right

mate you can take a Sierra body, drop it onto a patrol chassis, fit a V8, throw some truck diffs under it and fit 35's if you document it properly and get an engineer on side.

The Authorised Person scheme in Queensland is seriously flawed, I looked into becoming a signatory but required 10 years experience in the automotive trade, even though I am a qualified engineer and was design buses at the time. However a Tradesman's Assistance who stuck flares onto a bus for 10 years was eligable and only had to pass the test. Now what that test is I don't know but I questioned that of Qld Transport and they were unable to provide a reasonable explaination. Now I'm not saying that the TA would have passed but the eligability to sit the test is bullshit.

The "A" frame in the above pic appears to come from a land-rover. so from a design/manufacturing point of view it will be structurally OK. but like any mod, as said above you have to have an engineer on your side (toyuki has Suzuki, Toyota, Nissan and Holden bits fitted to it but who would use land-rover bits in a zuk.. come on )

Luckily the A-frames are about the only part that don't leak oil or suffer from electrical gremlins
