hey guys i have come across a supercharged f10a and 5 speed which would be nice for the little ute, whats involved in making the gearbox work? from what i hear it has cables to select gears, how do i make it so i can use the stick? hope that makes sense haha

I'm not up on carry stuff but don't think you can convert the cable shift to stick in box.
A 1.0 4 speed gearbox from an SJ40 will bolt up, or if you can find one, a Maruti 1.0 5 speed gearbox.

bugger cos i would like a 5 speed for it. with a supercharger i could fit some larger tyres and effectively get the same final drive as if i had 5th

is there any difference between the carry f10a and the sierra f10a? in pics it looks like the engine is more on a tilt.

Yeah, the manifold and sump/pickup are different (there's probably other stuff too but that's the main parts). The belhousing pattern (on the gearbox) is turned to make the engine lean over.

I'd be interested to know more about the mods to this engine.
