The LJ doesn't idle well at all. It sounds quite rough, like it's not getting the right mixture of air/fuel.

I took out the air filter and it idled absolutely fine, which begs the question - perhaps the filter needs a clean?

I may have answered my own question, but who has experience with carby tuning that can give me some answers as to what it could be?

Hi mate, first post today and you have an LJ, interesting.

Mate I have not had one apart for a few months but inside the carbie, (maybe on the end of the needle and seat) there is a small mesh filter screen tube that pushes on, this often gets gunked up and causes havok.
