Hello again Auszookers...
Having some trouble removing the rear wheel bearings from the axle.
Question... Is the hub supposed to come off the axle and the bearings come off that way. Or is the retainer supposed to come off then wheel bearing etc...
Cheers
Rob

mate you need to cut them off carefully with a grinder or alike then press new bearing and retainer on from the end with the spline cut into it ie diff center end

OK NEW inquiry...
I just went to attempt to purchase a Wheel bearing kit from the people at Repco. And everything except the Bearing Matched my one... The Bearing in the kit, Has a Wider Inner Race compared to the Outer race, by about 20mm... he assured me this is the only kit they make for them and then cross referenced his numbers vs CBC's and a couple of other bearing companies... Mine was the Same size inner and outer Race.
Has anyone got the Actually Bearing number and make of the SE 416 Non-abs Vitara...

as in the Inner race vs the Outer Race.
The Inner Side of the bearing, is literally Wider than the Outer Side of the Bearing.
The inner side was Approx 20 - 30mm Wider than the Outer

Are you talking about the inner being the part that presses onto the axle and the outer being the part that fits inside the axle tube?
If so, the 'inner' should be larger, and from memory the wider part goes towards the diff center/spline end of the axle - Atari, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

Bingo... The original bearing did not have this it was the same size inner and outer...
And sorry atari when the bearing didn't look the same I handed it back... Also the original bearing is now in pieces due to an unfortunate accident it had with my oxyacetylene set... ... Woops
