Yes and no, not really.

The coiler case has a slightly taller high range so highway revs will drop, but that might not be a good thing - I don't think there is any evidence that a sierra is revving too fast on the highway in stock form- you might not be able to use 5th gear as much, for instance.

A coil case should be quieter, but I would have thought it should be pretty much undetectable - there's enough other noises going on that isolating what's coming from just the case would be hard I think.

im thinking g16b with five speed box and coily transfer, does anyone know if you can mount the handbake assembly to the coily transfer case?

If you only want taller gearing, you would be better off with w/t diff's...

I've got standard size tyres and 6.5 transfer gears in my zook at the moment and even with the high revs it's getting way better fuel economy than I ever have on various tyres from 28's to 34's.
