After searching for a bit, I haven't been able to find much on replacing a clutch.. So could anyone help me out and let me know the basics to doing this? I'm quite nervous about tackling this one :/

It might pay to have someone who's done one to come give you a hand then. We can help with questions but there's a number of tools you'll need etc

What kind of projects have you done before? Dropped a gearbox before? If so there's not a heap more to it. The only bit that needs to be farmed out is the machining of the flywheel. I must admit I've never had it done when I've swapped out clutches and it's been fine. Download the necessary section from a workshop manual and it's pretty straight forward.

Scrawn what are the major tools that are really any different from a standard maintenance kit? I would have said a torque wrench and a clutch alignment tool. A trolley jack would help too. From what I recall the rest is sockets, spanners, pliers etc.

There's not really any specialist tools needed but things you've mentioned certainly help. And also a rattle gun?
I assume (maybe wrongly) by the fact he's asking and mentioned he was nervous, that he hasn't attempted anything like this. I suggested getting the help of someone who has, to speed things up. I know when things get too hard halfway through that enthusiasm tends to wane and it gets left. This is a Sat morning job for a veteran but could turn into a much longer excise when things go wrong.
