Ok so I've done a quick interweb search and looked through a haynes manual (useless) and I haven't got a definate answer...

Does the G16A have a sump gasket? Or is it just a form in place type?

Gasket... It's the same as G13.
Ask for one at RIPCO and they'll sell you a Barina gasket.
