Yet another pointless and stupid thread by Bugsta. First there was the clutch thing, and now this. If you are going to completely disregard the same advice you just asked for in favour of your own crazy idea why not just shut the fuck up and stop wasting peoples time.

Best entertainment all day.
Wayne, I reckon if you really want to install a M16a just go for it. Make sure you document and share what's involved so it can be of benefit. If it doesn't work out at least we'll all know to definitely not go there.

Yeah maybe... but why did it not happen straight after i got the motor running? I have done about 200km's sense the roll, checked the oil, had no warning lights...then just bang...

Probs damaged the rings with the hydrolock and now have cracked them after a run. Throw a comp gauge on it and see what it says. Any weird engine vibrations before it started sending out smoke signals?

Any weird engine vibrations before it started sending out smoke signals? No weird vibs or anything. The motor kept running even once it went bang and lots of smoke signals. Can't put a comp gauge on it, cus i have no car to get to the shops to get one

Well i chucked some oil in motor today just to see if the motor would start...and it did I only ran it for about 10seconds, but at least it will still turn over. I pulled spark plugs out and cyl 3&4 full were covered in oil So i guess than means the rings have let go...? Can i also assume that the head is still ok cus the motor ran?? Or am i still best to pull the head of?? And what would the result be of a m15a bottom end with a m13a head?

Have you checked to see if pistons 3&4 still go up and down?

Without a compression test this is all just speculation.
Get it done before you strip the motor.

Only concern would be a bent valve or lack of oil to cams. In saying that my patrol ran for a year with the head cracked like humpdy dumpdy lol. Over heating is the most common cause of head cracking or warping.
