SJ70 Spline count?

Hey guys,
I've done a quick search but couldn't seem to find the answer :/ As some of you know I new a new clutch urgently but when I called to order one today that asked what spline count the input shaft is? I was given the choice between a 18 or 20 spline shaft for my particular model (1991 SJ70 W/T), just wanted to ask if anyone actually knows the stock spline count of the 1.3 5spd?

the way i understand no way of knowing until you get in there... if its any help, my '94 SJ70 was 20 spline, so i found out after buying the 18...

Pull it out and count it's the only way to be 100% I've guessed and I was wrong many times easier to do it yourself

What's the quickest and easiest way to get at it? Need to find out the count by tomorrow so I can get the clutch installed by the weekend haha

most will probably disagree, but i found it easiest to remove the whole motor & box together. took an hour from undoing the first bolt to motor being on the ground.

almost dropped the transfer case on my head once, didnt like the idea of risking doing that with a gearbox. that was my original reasoning behind doing it that way...

You can lift a sierra box with one hand while undoing the last bolts with the other though :/

I've done clutch installs on my back in my T56 six speed equipped V8, harden up!

Its a 20 mate. I made the mistake when i brought a HD clutch a couple of weeks ago. I have a 91 Sj70 and had to send back

Righto, I've ordered the 20 Spline clutch... hope it fits!
