I've got a 1.6 and 5 speed box that was pulled out of the '92 Sierra I bought recently. The block has G16B stamped into the side, although seeing it's running a carby i'm guessing it's just a 1.3 head. Needs a bit of work as there was a bit of oil in the radiator when I first bought it... didn't stop it from running/starting OK though. No idea what the issue is, just FYI.

I guess you could call it a long motor - it comes with G16B starter motor and multi-rib Vitara alternator (not in pic, but included), intake manifold, dizzy, etc. There's no adaptor plate between the motor and gearbox, so i'm not sure if it's a Sierra or Vitara 'box.

Anyway it's free to a good home, so come grab it if you want it. Only catch is it's gotta ALL go - I won't be breaking it down for bits and pieces. I don't have a crane handy to lift it from where it's sitting either.... but did I mention it's free?

Looks like a Sierra gearbox with extra tabs welded on to fit the 1.6..
That's how it was always done before adapter kits became readily available.
