Yup - new design from ARB, they're updating the whole range. Apparently the patent restrictions or something on the originals has expired, so they're having to stay ahead of all the knock-offs by redesigning.
That was the story from an ARB sales guy anyway - explaining why a locker for an 18yo car was still in development...

on no... now i'll HAVE to buy ARB instead of a Chinese knock off, after all, im sure the NEW design is far superior to the old one...

my installer was adament the new design is an improvement, much stronger and a little bit different configuration apparently i didnt get close enough to the diff smell to see

I'll ask arb this arvo when I go to see if they got rid of the plastic piston, I highly doubt it Ive got one of the new designs in my Jimny
