has one got the alter ego kit on a lwb vit, i have a swb vit with a calmini kit but a found that very harsh in the front end, took me two weekends to blow out the passenger strut, have just picked up a lwb and am looking at putting the alter ego kit under it, being that is abit longer and heavier i think the alter ego kit mit he better,

got a front bar on your SWB?
as the Calmini kit is designed to work with the added weight of a bar/winch & i guess you were still running the struts that came with the calmini kit? they're standard lenght & were probably topping out with no weight over the front.
i'm pretty sure one one in AUS has tried the altered ego kit yet.... i say you should do it.

i was still running the calmini struts with no bar, and no sway bar either, the back end was fine its juston the fot the front was no good with no wait on the front and topping out all the time

Fit a front bar, you'll have similar issues with the lwb.

Yeah even in my lwb, it wasnt until i added a winch that the ride got good upfront. and thats with an arb bullbar and second battery upfront.

I was initially quite positive about the Altered Ego kit, considering that the Calmini Kit is nothing special - it's a lot of money to pay for a pair of front arms and diff drop brackets- but there was a detailed install article on Pirate 4X4 on the Altered Ego kit and I think its full of bootyfab.
There's a number of parts that look to be marginal, and the concept of spacing the strut behind the knuckle is frightening.
I do not believe this kit would be possible to engineer in any state of Australia due to the way it's installed/built.
As for travel, sure that back end looks fully sick with its loose springs and all - but that's no better than you can achieve with commodore shocks and equally loose springs, but the front end isn't travelling worth a damn.
I can't see the point paying to ship bootyfab in from another country. It's not like you need lift to run big tyres on a vitara in any case, and the cars are so gearing limited on tyre size it's all pointless anyway.

Without going to a wider track with ur not going to get much more flex in the front
If u went with a gv rear diff and wider controll arms u might be able to fit some 100 series cv
As for the struts
A guy on zukiworld world was looking at making them out of 2" shocks like the bilstein struts are made but bigger
If u bring the top mount right up as high as u can and forward more then the angle the strut runs on will not be that bad
Camber could be set on the new strut
