Look for rims off a GV 99-05, or XL7 up to 05. Bothe steel and alloy versions fit sierras well.

due to the construction of the GV rim they're unable to be flipped... well that's what i was told by a local wheel mob.

The wheel centre is welded in on the bead landing, not the centre ( lower) section of the rim. Because of this, the only possible place it can be welded is right where it is. You COULD flipp is, but you would end up with an offset like -170
