Hi there.
I just got some wheel cylinder for the back of my 1.3 84 model sierra and they are differant part numberes left and right.
They look the same and I thought they were. I even pulled them apart cause I was certain that they were the same.
My question is: are they the same left and right? I'm sure it's an easy question for the omnipotent ones out there. LOL.

one is left and one is right because the brake line comes into your drivers side then goes across from that to the other one. so only the passenger side has a bleed nipple on it. if you look at them you should have one with a bleed nipple and one with out.

a wheel cylinder is much like a caliper but for pushing the brake shoes in drums apart instead of pushing brake pads together

On the late models I think the brake line goes from one side to the other, horizontal split system. But this has individual lines.

Take them back then. I think the earlier Sierras did have individual lines

I think they're the same left and right

you just put the bleed valve in one side instead of the brake line for the later model ones, and just put a bleed valve in each side for the early model ones?
