has anyone replaced there original tail lights with LED ones with the standard rear bumper? i keep having problems with mine blowing globes from all the water and mud getting it there all the time, i was thinking if i tock the original lights out and try fitting something like these http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LED-TAIL-BRAKE-I ... 240%3A1318 so thay sat in the bumper flush not just screwed to the out side, any one done something similar? got pics?
cheers scott

This isn't the standard bumper (I bent it too often to keep it) but they are LED's.
Don't believe everything you read on Ebay about LED's being waterproof. The reverse lights pictured only lasted about 3 months. The replacements lasted the same! One of the tail/brake lights is down 2 LED's too.
Jas.

Is the legality to do with the lens', the LED's, or both. I ran led lights, not the globe style but individual lights, in my escort lens' and will do the same with my sierra, but is it legal?

which means that they wont be adr compliant as they will dazzle any
following drivers.

maybe adr for a trailer if there is no reverse light it is a trailer lens
trailers have different adr reg's that is why they are expensive when
there is a reverse light.

i dont know then i have had the car looked over by the cops and got a RWC done both with the LED's on. The entire rear end is LED: tail lights, indicators, reverse lights, number plate light and they are all the same brand which are adr approved but i dont really know i suppose it is fine

it is very unlikely something that will get picked up on however there
are more then a few lads in uniform that also know the adr regs.
