Was just wondering if anyone is running the ultima extended shocks are they any good?

I have 2 inch spring lift and got 2 inch extended shackles to put on once I get new shocks would the ultimas have enough travel for this set up?

I sold a set of these recently. They are 500mm extended / 315mm compressed if they are the ones I am thinking of.

Can't say how good they are as I only had them in the car a short while and they were wrong for my application (coily).

I'm not really worried about the quality of the then as I know they are cheap I'm really just wondering if anyone has ran them with the same set up and wanted to know if they are going to be long enough?

If you are "not really worried about the quality" why bother with shocks at all? Just leave them out.

Really?? My SPOA zook had them and while they weren't long enough, they didn't "bend and flog out easily"

i got these (ultima) shocks off reubs...

considering they were allready used, and i have done quite a few trips to the springs 4wd park
and scenic rim, and 3 or 4 trips to the beach fully loaded up with 2 kids..

they ride good and have no signs of wear, bends or leaks..

they will suit a 2"lift but only just,, i run 2'' lift, 90mm shackles. and could use some longer travell..

Yep... It had a new set of four when I bought it.. They were all rooted when I removed them 6 months (4000km if that) later.

I think there are a lot of unknown variables with your question. What springs, what shackles, are you using the stock shock mounts? etc.

I think this is one of those questions where only you can determine the answer by flexing your car up and measuring with a tape measure.

I'm running them with just a 2 inch lift and there a terrible ride I just can't be bothered changing them. I'm running about 12psi in my tyres just to help me from destroying my kidneys. But in saying that I did a fishing trip in it and about 1000kms of it fairly punishing road and they didn't destroy themselves also I have takin it some fairly stupid places which I thought would of bent and twisted shit but ended up all sweet. So to sum it up there cheap and nasty but fairly strong

had them in the GV and they survived some hard bashing. Only swapped them out for longer ones..... Better than Gabriel shocks i reckon.

I've run them in my old car, & soon to be running them in my current daily (lowered heavy duty gas), no dramas, also sold them and monitored them in service for the last 3 yrs at my previous workshop, in 3yrs we had 1 set replace under warranty. No i don't run them on my zook because the shocks were replaced a week before i bought it.

I have ultima in my coily, they bend when extended too far and both outer casings rub together.

I had them in my coily and never had a problem besides being to short
