What style a/c controls do you have - three round knobs near the bottom of the dash or horizontal sliders?
Later models (the three round knob style) have a BCM (body control module) that controls among other things the a/c system, and it will flash the lights to indicate fault conditions.

Cheer's, going by that its a no.13 or 14. I turned it on to see if it did it again but did'nt. I also rang suzuki and they said if it's not doing it when it gets looked at, the scan tool should show up the fault still.

Let me know how you go as our car has done the same over the last few months. Doesn't happen all the time though.
Last car I had, a flashing A/C light meant it was low on gas, but by the looks of the FSM, it may be different in this case.

On a GV - no - the flashing a/c light will more often than not being pointing to an actuator problem - some one of the barn door actuators is not in the position the BCM wants it to be - there are a couple of other possibilities, but the actuators, because they are electro-mechanical and can get stuck are the most common.
There are either three or four such actuators - one for the recirculate door, one for the temp control door and one, maybe two for the distribution doors.
