I got some of Bruce's bushes a couple of weeks ago and had a little time on the weekend to put some in.

Well, I found a couple of problems. Firstly, on the chassis mount end the old bushes were installed without any crush sleeve  so you cant imagine the state of the bushes. On the shackle end things were just as bad, as the shackles must not have been quite tight enough and have been moving around, and the holes in the shackle plates are all flogged out. A few of the shackle pins are looking a bit ordinary as well.

Are these available new anywhere? I dont want longer shackles, just stock or close to. I was thinking I could make up the shackle plates myself but that still leaves the pins. I could just use bolts but was trying to keep things factory or close to.

On this note, just having a look under mine and found some of my bushes are a little loose in the spring eye. Is there discrepancies in the bush sizes Bruce? It doesn't really bother me, I'm just curious.

I had had a few people ask me this over a few years now. We made the moulds from new bushes so in theory the hole should be smaller as poly shrinks 1.5% meaning that the parts should be 1.5% smaller overall (Not an issue with such a small part). I have fitted bushes to Casper (and sold shit loads over the years) heaps of times and never had a worry at all with them. Unless the new parts we made the moulds from had quite larger holes from the start.

If this becomes a problem I could get another set of new bushes I guess, measure the I/D of the hole, throw the other moulds away, and make new ones.

I have used the bushes Bruce sells and have never had an issue beyond them being compatible with Pete's (fatzook) extended shackles. The bolt holes are made for im assuming 13mm or half inch bolts? The shackles have 12mm bolts, easy fixed i know but needed to be mentioned. also the space between the shackle plates is slightly too far apart for the bushes, ie .5 to 1mm gap, the shackles are welded in place. im not sure if this is a descrepancy in the bushes or the shackles tho

I ordered those bits from Suzistore on Monday, and they arrived this morning. Not bad from WA.
