Hey guys,

I just bought myself a 91 Vitara with a G16A Engine (I think thats the one with the carby) anyway...

The guy that I bought it off just replaced the Rocket Cover Gasket twice in the week I bought it but its still leaking.... Before I attempt to replace it would there be any reason this would continue to happen... Unfortunately I'm mechanically retarded so any help would be awesome..

Rocker cover may be warped?

Are you sure its the rocker cover gasket? Is it leaking from the back?

A common leak on G series is the distributor O ring or gasket where the angle drive housing meets the head.

Cheers for the Advice.. like I said I'm mechanically retarded... but i do have my brother-in-law having a look at it this weekend.. He will be able to let me know

Can you edit the thread title from "Rocket" to ROCKER ?
Will make it findable for other people searching similar problems. :wink:
