The radiator on my 93 Vit has split across the top...
(It was underneath the foamy thing and took a while to locate the leak as the foam was spreading the coolant every where.)

Is there any way to fix it or should I just bite the bullet and replace the damned thing ????

happened to my v6 too.....just replace.

you can get the tank replaced but you have to weigh up the price of a tank and labour for somebody to do it plus clean the core and so on vs a new unit

normally a full radiator will only be like 50 difference to replacing the top tanks. thats what i found working at Mazda and Toyota anyways. Radiator shops always have pre built ones there.

New one to be fitted tommorrow...

Only Radiator place in my area has gone Mobile so at least I wont have to risk driving it anywhere...

Geez mate its not that hard to fit Don't even have to remove the fan! Its literally 2 bolts

Mechanically enept...
( Spark plugs and changing oil are not a problem but anything more then that I sorta get short temperted and throw spanners into the works)

At least your smart enough to admit it. I used to regularly see the handywork of weekend mechanics who thought they knew they were doing, then realised they did'nt after they pulled it apart and was too late.

New Alluminium one fitted...

Set me back $500 but did take even the Cooling guy 45mins to fit as the New one didnt exactly fit first time around...
Turns out the new one was about 3mm too high so some custom work needed to be done

i hope the custom work was a 2" body lift?

My split in the same place a few weeks back . I took mine out though and got the top tank replaced. When I went to fit it , I found the same thing , about 3mm to high. Played with it a bit and started to think the tank wasn't eaxactly the same as the one that came out.
Ended up taking the fan off so i could remove the shroud so I could what was going on before curseing the raditor guy. With a little bit of mucking around , it ended up being the bottom rubbers weren't lining up . When they did , it was a perfect fit .
Was glad i persivered with it in the end.
