Hi guys,

I know that Stockman's never come with a tacho but some of the earlier models (around 86 i believe) had a tacho guage in the same looking cluster which is a direct bolt in and plugs to the original harnes

Don't confuse the issue by asking for a stockman cluster with a tacho, for a maruti.

A stockman is an LJ.

You need a 1.3L NT sierra cluster. It will have the same dash as your maruti, only it has the clock in the centre of the dash between the vents, where yours has a blank.

Hi All,

MasterA, the photo of the instruments second from top with the tacho is a 1.3L NT one. Have just sold one on ebay for $41.00 and there are more in my shed, sending it over to your fine State is not a problem either. So if you want, you can have one for $41.00 plus postage, post here or PM me your details.

Regards

Greg

Thanks for clarifying....learn something new every day
Is there a reason why the Maruti's (even th late model ones) came with Stockman decals on them?

Dealership gimmick? My WT maruti had the same stickers... But the purists will tell you that the stockman was infact an LJ.

The instruments without Tacho were in JA spec vehicles (which was the Type 3 1.0lt, Maruti NT and WT, and some NT 1.3). The Tacho came in JX trim in the NT 1.3, which also included a dashboard clock, intermittent wipers and split-fold rear seats. While they are a bolt swap, are you sure the wiring plug is the same? Workshop manual shows same plug, but with different circuits in different places.

I read somewhere on here that it's a direct swap....plug and play (so to speak)
There are 2 plugs on the cluster along with the speedo cable....(i'll try finding the link)

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13574

I would like to keep my original also....don't like the idea of fitting 5" monster tacho's on the dash or drilling holes and those 2" ones that fit int he holes are all digital which i don't like

Thanks for the replies....think i may have found one :)

Just a quick upate on this for all that were interested....it's actually a direct swap (plug and play)
If you had an engine conversion and you did abit of cutting, remember to hook up the brown wire (with pink dots on it) to the negative of the coil ;)
